The Yamaha YSP-3050 is a soundbar with twenty-three drivers. It uses Yamaha's intelliBeam technology to automatically adjust the frequency response for whatever room the soundbar is placed in. The YSP-3050 is the exact same as the YSP-3000, except it adds HDMI video upscaling and a front mini line-in. Likewise, the YSP-3050 will also block part of the screen unless it is wall-mounted. Interestingly, some of the technology used in the YSP-3050 is borrowed from cold-war era submarines. The YSP-3050 has a built in FM tuner, as well as an XM tuner. The XM tuner has Neural Audio technology, meaning that it can receive XM radio in 5.1 surround sound. It is equipped for use with the Yamaha iPod dock, and has a compressed music enhancer in order to playback MP3 and WMA files with higher quality.
