The Yamaha YSTMS55D is a 3-piece powered multimedia speaker/subwoofer system that delivers a total of 80 watts of power.  Unlike others in the line, this speaker system has a USB plug and play architecture for easy installation and use.  The design is a slant-baffle design that includes a headphone output jack on the satellite speaker, Yamaha's YST bass enhancement, and a total weight of 23.15 lbs.  The individual output powers of the pieces are 20 watts per satellite and 40 watts for the subwoofer.  The frequency response is 32 Hz - 20 kHz with a crossover frequency of 200Hz for the subwoofer and 12kHz for the satellites.  The input sensitivity is 200mV, and the drivers are made of spruce, a material used in piano sound boards.  The Yamaha YSTMS55D was released in 2001 making it a product that is difficult to find new.  For someone looking for state of the art equipment it is better to look at the most recently released products.
