The Yamaha YSTM49 is a 24-watt powered multimedia speaker released in 2002.  It comes with two satellites with 12-watts a piece.  One of the satellites has a volume knob as well as a headphone output to allow the speakers to drive the headphones capabilities better than most sound cards could do on their own.  That same satellite has bass and treble controls as well.  Both speakers have magnetic shielding to prevent any damage to a computer or monitor nearby.  There is a subwoofer output jack so that the system can be expanded for a deeper and more vibrant sound.  The input sensitivity is 200mV with 1kHz and 4 ohms at 12 watts.  The drivers are 3.8" cones made of spruce for a full-range sound.  The weight is 7.3 lbs and the dimensions are 9.9"(w) x 13.1"(h) x 8.5"(d).
