The Yamaha HTR-5590 is a versatile high performance 6.1 receiver with compatibility for analog and digital audio equipment. Output is sent to 6 channels, each amplified discretely and sent signals at 100 watts of power. Support for analog and digital inputs and outputs is available, and works with a 192kHz/24-bit digital to analog converter to create output as true to the original content as possible. A number of high definition protocols are covered, including DTS ES decoding and a number of Dolby standards. Output to the speakers can be set for low impedance models, but higher impedance models up to 8 ohms are fully compatible. The heavy-duty binding posts accept a wide variety of connection types, including banana plugs, spade connectors, and heavy gauge cable.
