The Westinghouse TX-42F970Z is a 42" LCD HDTV from Westinghouse's top-of-the-line TX Series of televisions and is an upgrade to the TX-42F450S from the 2008 lineup.  Like the TX-42F450S the TV features 1080p native resolution but it differs from the 2008 model since it has a 120 Hz panel for a faster refresh rate to complete the high definition experience.  The TX-42F970Z has a contrast ratio of 4000:1 and a response time of 4 ms which is an improvement compared to 6.5 ms response time of the TX-42F450S.  It is equipped with an ATSC, NTSC, CATV, and Clear QAM TV tuner in addition to a range of inputs including HDMI, Component, Composite, VGA, and SPDIF.  The TX-42F970Z is expected to be released in May 2009.
