Edit

The Volkl Alley is a lower mid-cost freestyle ski. This ski is geared toward the intermediate young skier who wants a supportive feel. The multi-layer wood core of the Alley combines two different wood densities, which makes for a stable, resilient run. This core is designed with Volkl's Sensorwood technology, which helps the ski to precisely follow your movements. The symmetrical 111-81-104 sidecut of this ski makes it so you get a consistent feel, whether riding forward or switch. This design will also help to give you balance on rail slides. The box contruction of this ski adds stability to the feel. The Alley model is new for 2010. There are size options available for the Volkl Alley freestyle ski.

I've had these for a year and I really don't like them very much. I guess that they would be alright for a beginner. In no way at all are they a park ski though, and not much of an all mountain ski either. You can really tell when you go from these to a ski like afterbangs how poor they are constructed. There is absolutely no flex in these skis and I don't have much positive to say about them. You pay for what you get...
