Edit

The Vivitar DVR 550 is a basic video camera built to be portable and sturdy. This is similar to the low-cost Vivitar DVR 528 in general functionality, but has a more compact design with stainless steel body construction to allow it to be easier to fit in a pocket without excessive bulk or concern over breaking it. It also includes a number of buttons within easy reach of the thumb, allowing for fast control of the device without needing to wait for a touchscreen interface to catch up. Many of the other features are the same, including a 5 megapixel sensor capable of basic white balancing and a fixed focus lens that takes in subjects at a wide range distances all at once. The device is powered by 3 AAA batteries, and JPG or AVI files are saved to an SD card.
