The Vivitar DVR 528 is low-cost video camera that creates high definition video. This is almost identical to the Vivitar DVR 518, but has been redesigned with a more angular body and a brighter red shell. While the cost has been significantly reduced, the same 5 megapixel sensor is used and the same fixed focus lens gathers light without using a narrow focal range. The sensor is capable of white balancing to account for a variety of lighting conditions, and can record either still images in JPG format or video in AVI format. Video can be viewed by copying the files through a standard USB interface, or by taking advantage of the TV out function. The camera runs on basic AAA batteries.

  • 5 Megapixel sensor
  • 4:3 aspect ratio recording
  • Up to 2592x1944 pixel resolution
  • F3.0 fixed focus lens
  • 8x digital zoom
  • 2.4 in TFT LCD display
  • White balance
  • TV out, NTSC or PAL
  • USB 2.0
  • SD card support
  • 3 x AAA (1.5 V) batteries

Not the best sound quality. And the USB cord isn't properly connecting to my Mac. And even during the day it has poor light quality.
