Edit

The Vivitar DVR 518 is a low-cost video camera capable of high-resolution recording. This is based on the Vivitar DVR 508, but uses a much more sensitive sensor capable of moderate white balancing to adjust for variable lighting conditions. This unit uses fewer AAA batteries as well. To keep costs low the infrared function has been removed and the waterproof cover is not included. The lens uses a fixed focus system that keeps almost everything in focus all at once, which sacrifices some quality in the final video created. Still pictures and video are captured in resolutions of up to 2592x1944 resolution and stored in internal memory or sent to the SD card slot.
