The Vivitar DVR 610 is a low-cost pocket video recorder for shooting casual video and use as a webcam. This is similar to the Vivitar DVR 620HD, but uses less processing internally to create a more simplified final output. While a 6.1 megapixel sensor is used, the final file created is 640x480 pixels at 30 frames per second. This can be recorded to an MP4 file, or connected to a PC as a live webcam. An internal microphone also enables the use of the phone as a sound recorder that creates WAV files. A USB 2.0 interface is used for copying files, and the device is powered by 3 AAA batteries.

WAS EXCITED TO GET MY dvr 610 VIVITAR CAMERA AND IT WORKED WELL FOR SOME EASY SNAPS, HOWEVER AS I USED IT AND THE BATTERIES WORE DOWN, I REPLACED THEM W/BRAND NEW ENERGIZERS, AND AS SOON AS I TURNED THE CAMER ON, THE BATTERIES WENT ALMOST DEAD, SO BEING A FOOL, I PUT IN THE 'COPPERTOP" BATTERIES, SAME THING,
SO LAST RESORT I TRIED THE ENERGIZERS ONCE MORE, RUNS THE BATTERIES DOWN INSTANTLY!!!
THOUGHT I WOULD LIKE THE REASONABLE PRICED ITEM BUT ALL I CAN SAY NOW IS B-L-E-A-T - BLAH - HUNBUG, MAY VERY WELL BE MY LAST EXPERIENCE WITH "vivivator!!!!
