The Vivitar Vivicam 7028 is a base-level, compact digital cameras from Vivitar designed as an affordable and budget-friendly option for consumers. In particular, the 7028 is the first in the 7000 series to incorporate a flip LCD display that can be pulled away from the unit to better imitate the experience of using a digital camcorder. Like its predecessors (the 7022 and 7024), the Vivicam 7028 can capture still images up to 3072x2304, not to mention VGA videos with audio. This camera takes 3 AAA batteries and includes support for automatic face & smile detection.

I just bought one of these cameras from Best Buy and it did not include a rechargeable battery....it had no batteries. And as far as smile or face detection...it's not mentioned in the rudimentary manual that was included. I was just looking for a no frills camera. I haven't taken photos yet though....i couldn't find a customer review anywhere else on line for this camera, so I'll post again after I do.
