The Vivitar V8025 model is a mid-grade camera designed to provide cheaper offerings to people of all ages. It was first introduced at the 2009 CES event in Las Vegas. The new lineup of Vivitar products including the related cameras/ camcorders (DVR840XHD, V8400P) are slated for a spring 2009 release. The V8025 model is an 8 megapixel high resolution camera; fully equipped with a 2.4 inch LCD touch screen. The lens includes image stabilization support (it keeps the camera steady from the normal shaking patterns and movements of the human body) and an 8x digital zoom. The V8025 uses the integrated SD memory card slot for storage with full support for capacities up to 8GB. The Vivitar V8025 includes additional features such as a slim and unique body design that measures dimensions of 3 x 2.25 x 0.5 inches (pocket-size), face/smile detection technology support, and Pictbridge ready functionality which allows users to connect the device directly into a printer without the need for a PC.
