The Toshiba REGZA 55G300U is a 55-inch, 1080p LCD HDTV released in mid-2010. This high-definition television features what Toshiba calls “ClearFrame” technology, a feature that increases video frames from 60 to 120 per second. This 120Hz mode eliminates motion blur from fast-moving video content commonly found when watching sports broadcasts and action movies. This REGZA HDTV is not only Ethernet enabled, but also DLNA certified for receiving streaming video content directly onscreen. Toshiba’s “Cinema Mode” and “TheaterWide” options are specifically geared towards movie watchers. The first allows for smooth playback of movies originally recorded on 24 fps film, while the second allows users to adjust widescreen content to a size they are comfortable watching. Gamers can make use of the set’s “Gaming Mode,” an option designed to optimize the HD video output from consoles. Video inputs include 4 HDMI, 1 Component, 1 PC and 2 standard A/V connections.
