The Toshiba Satellite M505-S4975 is one of eight notebooks in the M500 series that was released in October 2009 alongside the Windows 7 operating system. It is an immediate step up from the M505-S4972, in that it adds along superior Harmon/Kardon speakers, a larger 320GB SATA hard-disc drive, and an extra GB of RAM — for a total of 4GB DDR2. Like its peer, it features an Intel Pentium T4300 processor, a DVD burner, and a webcam/microphone combo set. It’s especially geared for multi-tasking and online networking, as it includes 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity and Gigabit LAN. Note also the security cable lock slot for securing one’s laptop to an unmovable object; the rechargeable Lithium ion battery that lasts approximately 4 hours; and the 14” screen that handle 720p content.
