The Toshiba Satellite M500-ST5405 is one of eight notebooks in that M500 series that were released in October 2009 alongside the Windows 7 operating system. It features an Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 processor, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, and a 500GB SATA hard-disc drive. It’s engineered to handle everyday use from children, adults, and business professionals alike. Included is 802.11b/gn wireless connectivity, Gigabit LAN, and a webcam/microphone combo set. Some of the more notable features are Harmon/Kardon speakers for enhanced audio (especially when compared to conventional notebook speakers), an HDMI-CEC interface for transmitting video content directly to an HDTV (without an in-between digital box), and a security cable lock slot for securing one’s laptop to an unmovable object.
