The Toshiba Qosmio X500 is a media-oriented laptop released in October 2009 and built specifically for users seeking high-definition multimedia and gaming. It’s laced with a stylish red design on the outside; but it’s the inside that proves the most impressive. It’s powered by an Intel Core i7-720QM processor (2.8GHz), up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and up to two 500GB SATA-II hard-disc drives. More importantly, it hosts a plethora of features geared towards entertainment. First up is the 18.4” full HD TruBrite LCD screen that can handle 1920x1080p resolution. Second is the X500’s integrated 6x BD-RE optical drive. Last and most important is the nVidia GEForce GTS 250M graphics card with 1GB of video memory; which can churn out ridiculously fast frame-rates and HD video with near-perfect rendering. Additional features include wired/wireless connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1, and a 5-in-1 card reader.
