The Toshiba SD4300 is an entry-level progressive scan DVD player. This DVD player is designed for HDTV users who want to upscale DVD movies to the full resolution supported by their televisions. This functionality is accomplished by Toshiba’s “ColorStream Pro” progressive scan Component video output. The manufacturer claims this proprietary technology enhances colors and image detail. MP3 music files can also be played via any of the aforementioned disc formats. VCD and SVCD video discs are also supported. A JPEG Photo Viewer application comes included with this DVD player, allowing users to watch high resolution slideshows on their HDTVs. This product is Energy Star certified.
