The TomTom VIA 1500 Series was released as an upgrade from the VIA 1400 Series. It offers a larger 5” touchscreen display with an improved resolution for better viewing maps and data while driving. In particular, this series hosts three sub products—the 1400, the 1505, and the 1535. All three offers spoken street names so users can pay attention to the road; advanced lane guidance for navigating difficult junctions and not missing important turns; and IQ routes, a technology that allows users with an optional traffic receiver to receive more accurately calculated routes based on actual traffic speeds. The VIA 1535 also adds along Bluetooth connectivity, which means users can make hands-free phone calls with their Bluetooth compatible smartphones. In addition, both the 1535 and 1505 support maps for the United States, Canada, and Mexico. However, note that the VIA 1500 offers the most memory for storing maps and points of interest.
