The TomTom VIA 1400 Series hosts three automobile GPS receivers, including the 1400, 1405, and 1435. The 1400 hosts the most memory (4GB), but it only has maps of the United States and Canada. The 1405 adds maps for south-of-the-border travel, but goes down to 1GB of RAM. The last one, 1435, includes Mexico maps and Bluetooth wireless, so users can make hands free phone calls. Plus it allows users to control the unit by voice. All three units rely on a large 4.3” LCD display for easily seeing maps, and a 3 hour battery, meaning the unit can be removed from the car and used portably. Another feature inherent to all units is spoken street names, which reduces the need for users to keep their eyes on the display. The key feature though is IQ Routes, which can calculate the fastest and most efficient route.
