Edit

Titleist's AP1 irons are targeted at frequent golfers, though not necessarily competitive ones, and puts strong emphasis on the feel of the club as well as forgiveness. The club heads are the largest that Titleist offers, and workability is sacrificed for straight flight and a larger sweet spot. Made of three separate materials (tungsten, stainless steel and aluminum), these clubs reduce feedback vibrations and contribute to a smooth overall feel. The clubface is fairly thin and the offset is the largest of Titleist's irons. Other features include a wide base and deep centre of gravity for better forgiveness. These clubs also feature the modified U grooves in compliance with 2010 USGA/R&A requirements.
