The 2011 Titleist Pro V1x golf balls are a rethinking of a member of the company's V1 line which have for years been the leading ball types used for worldwide tour play. Designed to provide low spin off the driver and long irons, the new V1x employs a spherically tiled 328 tetrahedral dimple design (compared to the previous model's 332) offering longer distance and more consistent flight while maintaining the drop-and-stop greenside control achieved in the earlier iteration. A 1.550" diameter, high velocity dual core with soft center comprised of polybutadiene is encased in a .035" thick layer of a responsive ionomeric casing, making the V1x quicker off the tee, and keeps flight true, minimizing off line veering over greater distances.
