The Tascam DR-680 is a portable multi-channel recorder that can record directly to a memory card. This design is set up to record live performances or temporary home setups, with the ability to run on battery power and alternately record to an SD/SDHC card or output to RCA, S/PDIF, or USB 2.0. Up to 8 tracks can be recorded individually, or 6 inputs with a stereo mixdown included. Audio is mixed at up to a 192 kHz sampling rate in 24-bit mode, and can be recorded to a 4-channel MP3. The interface uses a 128 x 64 backlit LCD, and provides a graphic EQ interface that allows for level and pan adjustments.
