The Sylvania NB530SLX is an entry level Blu-ray Disc player released in early 2009. This player is very similar to 2008’s Sylvania NB501SL9, save for a redesigned appearance with a smaller form factor. This player is Profile 1.1 compatible, meaning Bonus View content is supported. BD-Live functionality is not supported. The Sylvania NB530SLX features full 1080p video output at 24 frames per second to provide an original cinematic experience. Connections on the back include one HDMI, component and optical/coaxial digital audio out. There is also composite and stereo sound output for use with legacy equipment. Both Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio are supported. Users with existing DVD collections can use this player to upconvert their movies with progressive scan. Potential buyers will find a fluorescent display on the front of the machine, allowing for playback information to be quickly read without using the included remote.
