extremely violent, but somewhat tastefully done

shot body parts react the way one would expect them to

"Fragile Alliance" arcade game mode structured like the original games online game play, only with bots.

Cons

very short cinematic bursts with no establishing a mood, setting or additional plot - focus on intensity makes the experience overly grating, the exact opposite of intense

3 agree

light on plot - adds very little to motivation

3 agree

very little variation in gameplay (just run and gunning) - gets boring after 15 minutes

3 agree

weapons must be picked up off the ground - can't be upgraded / tweaked in any way or selected from an arsenal

2 agree

visual style becomes nauseating and begins to take away from the gameplay - especially if you sprint a lot

2 agree

Enemies have to be hit by millions of bullets before dying.

2 agree

somewhat dodgy duck and cover / shooting mechanics, not very accurate

2 agree

Online and Arcade ranking system very lacking; feels rushed.

1 agrees

aesthetic is far from fancy or pretty - not a game for fans of high-end graphics

1 agrees

visual experience gets nauseating - especially if you sprint a lot

1 agrees

Aiming system somewhat lacking; sometimes very hard to correctly take down an enemy due to confusion.

1 agrees

Game simply just ends; no plot-line twists or interesting events.

1 agrees

Buying weapons for online and arcade game modes is not engrossing. (Most games allow some kind of character or weapon customization)

1 agrees

constant action without any additional story or downtime - very grating and repetitive

1 agrees

Short story mode, and very few arcade mode levels leave players desiring more.

Kane & Lynch 2 is a third person action shooter by Io and Eidos Interactive, presented in a surveillance-camera visual style where players take control of Lynch, a self medicated psychopath who is partnered up with a calculating ex-mercenary.  Players must navigate the two anti-heroes through the Shanghai underworld after a deal goes wrong and the duo are forced to flee for their lives.

This game is presented in a gritty style somewhat unique to the world of video games, and inspired by the user-generated era with documentary filmmaking, realism, and intensity in mind. The combat allows players to take cover and shoot at enemies with a variety of modern weapons whilst being supported by a human or computer controlled partner.  In addition to the story mode, players can play a variety of online co-op and competitive modes with various objectives.  This game has strong language and brutal violence.

This game is a sequel to the successful Kane & Lynch: Dead Men and is available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
