The Specialized Hotrock A1 FS 26 is an entry-level mountain bike, released in 2002. Originally modeled after Specialized’s A1 FS for kids, this version is made specifically for adults. The Hotrock A1 FS 26 was designed with general use in mind, however it’s versatile enough for hard tail riding according to the manufacturer.
This bike features the same A1 aluminum frame from the kids’ version, with its top tube gusset and removable derailleur hanger. With its SR suspension fork, forged crank, Shimano-made componentry and Hardrock’r knobby tires, the Hotrock A1 FS can be used on just about any bike trail. The hubs and seat collar will quickly release when needed, and the handlebar is of the threadless variety. The Specialized Hotrock A1 FS 26 is available in a three tone color combination; Team red, Pearl white and Team red.
