Sony's lineup of HDR camcorders are classified as entry-level products for first time users, and judging by their specifications and features, the Handycams will keep most consumers happy. The HDR-CX360V is a step-up model from its counterparts, the CX130 and CX160, offering a highly sensitive CMOS sensor, the capacity for 7.1 megapixel photos, and a GPS and map feature. The HDR-CX360V's "Exmor R" CMOS sensor can shoot high definition 1920 x 1080 videos even in poor light, thanks to greater sensitivity, and has a 30x optical zoom and 42x extended zoom. Its wide-angle G lens takes in a broader perspective for better videos as well as 7.1-megapixel photos, which are recorded to 32GB of internal flash memory capable of storing up to 13 hours of footage. In addition, the HDR-CX360V is equipped with a built-in GPS and mapping feature on its 3" LCD touch screen, which also lets users tag shooting locations.
