Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are there any additional audio (hoping for analog) outs or is it JUST the HDMI?

    Coaxial digital out. No analog.

  • Will this model show Netflix subtitles?

This Sony BDPS5500 supports streaming subtitle, please take note that the availability of the subtitles varies depending on the movie or program being watched. Movies that support subtitles will have a selectable option for subtitles.

  • Does this model have a web browser?

Yes it does, but probably not one you are familiar with. It is an app that knows how to talk on the internet but is VERY basic in what it can do and not easy to work with. It is ok for doing TV things like setting up Hulu and Netflix but I think you would find it very frustrating for doing web browsing.
