The Sony BRAVIA KDF-50E3000 is a 50" 3LCD micro-display HDTV that features the BRAVIA Engine EX full digital video processing system. As an improvement over the original BRAVIA engine, the EX adds along the ability to upconvert 480i SD signals. The TV can in fact output television and films in a native 1080p resolution with over six million pixels. Signature to the Sony BRAVIA KDF-50E3000 is its design, which despise having three LCDs inside the cabinet is still, according to Sony, 22% slimmer than previous Grand Wega Projection TVs. Additional features include a bevy of inputs including Composite, Component, PC, and HDMI (though there is no USB); an Xcross Media Bar (XMB) for a logical and fast way to access controls; and DMeX ready for adding on optional BRAVIA components.
