The Sony BRAVIA XBR-46HX909 is a high-end, 46", 3D HDTV to be released in July 2010. The 1080p XBR-46HX909 – 3D glasses sold separately – features 240Hz technology for ultra-smooth motion reproduction. With full-array local LED dimming, parts of the backlight can dim independently to produce deeper blacks and higher contrast. The mostly identical XBR-46HX800 lacks this feature and costs $800 less. The XBR-46HX909 features an ethernet port, internet TV capability, and DLNA certification, users can access media stored on a computer or media server, or available from online providers like YouTube, Netflix, and Pandora. A USB input adds further versatility. A 52" model is also available.
