The Bravia KDL-55EX710 is a high-definition television from Sony that offers a step-up from the company's KDL-46EX710 model. Utilizing an Edge LED backlighting system, this model is equipped with an "Ambient Sensor" that automatically adjusts brightness and contrast levels to suit the amount of light in the room that the television is in. Full 1080p high-definition resolution and a 16:9 55-inch display provide an optimal viewing experience for HD and Blu-ray discs, in addition to video game consoles like the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Non-television content can be viewed through the Bravia Internet Video service, which can stream content directly from Youtube, Netflix, Slacker and other popular media websites. Personal content can be ported via Wi-Fi connectivity or USB, with digital picture frame functionality available as well as direct video camera viewing. Fast-moving imagery is optimized through 120Hz  "MotionFlow" technology, a system that increases frame rate speeds while applying an image blur reduction treatment that helps to present action scenes and other high-speed content. A "Presence Sensor" is included for environmentally-conscious energy conservation, which automatically powers the TV down when 30 minutes elapse without movement in the room that the unit is in. An energy saving switch is also fitted on the back of the unit, allowing users to stop the flow of power without having to unplug the primary cable from the wall. A one-year parts and labor warranty is included for not-at-fault malfunctions, and a rotating table-top stand makes for a quick and versatile setup.
