The Sony BRAVIA KDL-32EX520 is a lower mid-cost LED TV. The display of this TV is thirty-two inches of full HD (1080p). The LED is distributed using Sony's Edge design, which allows for a thin TV. The X-Reality Engine of the BRAVIA KDL-32EX520 utilizes Sony's Intelligent Image Enhancer technology to separate incoming video into constituent parts (outline, texture, and color/contrast), and make the appropriate image enhancement. This engine also uses Intelligent MPEG Noise Reduction to automatically detect the incoming sources and noise level, and then apply the appropriate amount of noise reduction for each scene. This model differs from the higher cost BRAVIA KDL-40EX520 in that the BRAVIA KDL-40EX520 has a forty inch display. The Sony BRAVIA KDL-32EX520 LED TV is equipped with a Presence Sensor feature, which detects the people in the room and what they are doing to automatically switch to Normal mode (when people are in the room and awake), Picture Off mode (when body heat but no motion is detected) or Standby mode (for when no one is around), which minimizes wasteful power consumption.
