The Sony SAT-HD100 was an early HD DirecTV satellite receiver. Displaying only 480i and 1080i video, the HD100 lacks HDMI or DVI connectivity, featuring only component for HD content, in addition to S-video, VGA, dual A/V, and RF outputs. Dolby Digital surround sound is supported via the unit's optical digital audio output. The receiver assists VCR recordings with one-button record, a 10-event timer, and auto title insert. The built-in program guide builds on previous versions, with customizable channel listings and a window displaying the picture and sound of the current channel.
