Great for first-person-shooter games - greatly simplifies "moving and shooting" control layouts

Fairly well designed for the most part - enables one-hand controllability of many gameplay components, with most controls in close proximity to the thumb stick

Cons

Not required for most Move-based titles - some users may have a hard time justifying the purchase

Lack of bus powering/charging capabilities is sure to frustrate some users - may add considerable battery costs to serious users

1 agrees

Seemingly overpriced for the feature set - functions more or less as a 1/2 dual shock controller without rumble capabilities

1 agrees

Lacks a wrist strap - may cause damage/injury amongst users who get overly-enthusiastic while gaming

1 agrees

Control layout is somewhat clunky - directional pad buttons are very hard to reach within one hand for most users

Edit

The PlayStation Move Sub-Controller is an extra peripheral for the PS3 that provides some extra buttons and an analog stick for controlling PlayStation Move games, similar to the Wii-Nunchuck. Unlike Nintendo's counterpart, the Sub-Controller does not contain motion sensing capabilities itself, and is simply a more comfortable replacement to the Dual Shock 3 for games that use both the Move and an analog stick.
