Cons

The pieces don't really look like they belong together when you see them in person. The reciever is a tasteful brushed stainless, but the speakers are silver plastic, and the subwoofer is black particle board.

2 agree

no dedicated subwoofer jack

2 agree

speaker wire is the smallest guage possible

1 agrees

the subwoofer vibrates (very annoying)

1 agrees

outdated design

1 agrees

No built-in DVD

1 agrees

FM antenna doesn't pick up all stations.

The wires are fixed to the speakers. That means if you need a long wire to run around door frames or along the perimeter of the room, you will need to do some splicing.

1 agrees

speakers sound harsh at loud volumes

1 agrees

There are only three standard inputs here. That might barely be enough right now, but it doesn't offer you any room to grow.

Very Good system for the money. No this system wont blow up you windows, but it might wake up your neighbors. The system has 3 a/v inputs (minus the video inputs of course), 1 coax (for dd5.1, Prologic etc.) and 1 optical (same as coax but much cleaner and louder sound). Radio Tunner has 30 presets for you to (hehe)preset. and one cool feature (well for me at least) is your can change the name of the Preset text for each selection exp:Audio 1 to Xbox, or Optical to PS3 etc. So yeah these are satalite speakers (not mirco) and they do have some punch. The Sub is Descent. All in all a very Good entry system for most folks, and a Good Medium system for the poor (me!!). Supports DD5.1, DTS5.1 and a whole bunch of old ones too Pro log 1/11 and so on. For under $200 bucks you cant go wrong here.
