Edit

The DAV-HDX285 is an entry-level model in Sony's line of BRAVIA home theater systems. The 1000W, 5.1-channel system's feature set is more mid-range than entry-level, however. It includes a 5-disc CD/DVD changer, an iPod dock for easy music playback in surround sound, and 1080p DVD upscaling via HDMI, for enhanced picture quality. The DAV-HDX285 supports Sony's S-AIR technology, which enables wireless speaker setups. Among other features is a Night Mode which makes some dialogue easier to hear. Finally, an included calibration wizard aims to simplify the process of installing a home theater system.
