The Sony DAV-FX900W DVD Dream system is a high-end offering with a focus on quality components and fairly limited, but practical features. The player itself is a 5-CD/DVD changer with 1080p upconverting HDMI output to maximize video resolution from standard DVDs, and supports a full 5.1 surround speaker system. The DAV-FX900W features DIAT Digital Infrared Audio Transmission; it uses infrared technology to transmit audio wirelessly, but without the signal loss traditionally associated with wireless audio. DIAT eliminates the need for cables to the rear speakers of the setup, but there is still a wired option for purists. The DAV-FX900W is also XM Connect-and-Play ready, with paid XM radio service and included antenna.

Features
  • DIAT Wireless rear speakers with infrared technology for minimal signal loss
  • Upconverting 5-CD/DVD changer with HDMI output
  • Automatically calibrates audio to maximize sound quality
  • XM Satellite Radio ready
