I just bought these headphones. I searched for some reviews before i purchase. But there weren't many. So i decided to write my own review.
I was using Behringer wired stereo headphones. But these headphones produce music quality way better than the behringer's. I read lots of bad reviews about sony's bad bass quality comparing to Pioneer wireless headphones. So in movies pioneer headphones may be a lot better. But i can say Sony doesn't at all. This unit has 50mm driver and 6-25000hz sound range that pioneer wireless headphones can not reach into. Listening music with Sony MDR-DS 7.1 headphones is making a on stage effect like you are listening the same mp3 on a concert. Well this isn't perfect for some people who does only like the original version. In the min.(1-8) volume sony is producing pure quality music sound. When you boost volume up(8-10) the max volume, these headphones are turning into a monster, like you are standing near a big speaker on the concert hall. So the music becomes some ear scratching. I can say i liked the trebles and mid-ranges after listening lots of music. And bass is so powerful that can shake your earpads. But bass still stands poor near trebles. It feels like a 20 watt subwoofer standing under my feet.
For the last sentence., i didn't like the comfort of these headphones. As we all know these headphones are being sold in Japan. And so the earpads must have been designed for Japanese people. Don't belive they stand big in the picture. The earpads are so tiny and they are being uncomfertable after an half hour usage.
