Edit

The Sony STR-DG1100 is a 7.1 channel a/v receiver rated for 110 Watts / channel according to the manufacturer and upscaling to 1080p to HDMI using its built-in Faroudja DCDi Cinema chipset. However, the power supply that is integrated with the DG1100 is only rated for 350 Watts, which is less than 110 W x 7 channels would require. It features 3 x HDMI inputs supporting 1080/60p and 1080/24p along with deep color (xvYCC) support. The Sony STR-DG1100 originally had an MSRP of $899 but has subsequently been discontinued in favor of the Sony STR-DG920 (MSRP $599) and step-up Sony STR-DG2100 (MSRP $1199). The STR-DG1100 is still available from some online retailers for less than $600.
