Edit

The Sony STR-DA4600ES is one of three ES receivers (STR-DA3600ES, Sony STR-DA4600ES, Sony STR-DA5600ES) released in Q3, 2010. As the top unit, the Sony STR-DA5600ES inherits all the traits of its predecessors, while adding along the ability to automatically calibrate audio for speaker types, locations and angles; function as a DLNS Live Audio server; and stream a/v content to other rooms via HDMI (6 in, 2 out) or CAT5e. Otherwise, it’s a 7.1-channel receiver (130W per channel) outfitted with a bevy of features like integrated Ethernet, multi-zoom flexibility, 1080p output and even 1080p upscaling. Signature is the unit’s automation integration, which supports IP, RS-232 and IR control support.
