The Sony Bloggie (MHS-FS1) is a handheld digital video recorder built to easily fit into a pocket. This is similar to the Sony Bloggie Duo (MHS-FS2), but uses just the single 2.7 inch display. They share all other features, including video capture at 1920 x 1080p to an MP4 file and still images in 5 megapixel quality. SteadyShot image stabilization is used to reduce motion blur from handheld recording, and an auto-macro mode allows shooting of objects at up to 4 inches away. Charging the unit is handled through a flip-out USB arm, which serves the additional role of allowing files to be transfered to a PC. Video can also be viewed directly from the device through an HDMI output.
