Sony's CyberShot H200 digital camera is an entry-level model and the first of three products in the H series. Ease of use and accessibility are major features of this model. This camera is a point-and-shoot model, though its form factor and hand grip resemble larger DSLR cameras. While it is not a DSLR model and its lenses cannot be changed, one of the main features is a 26x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilization, both of which are uncommon at this price point. The H200 also uses 4 AA batteries instead of a rechargeable battery, which may be more convenient for some purposes.

26x Optical Zoom

26x Optical Zoom is a high capacity for a point-and-shoot camera. The optical image stabilization and handgrip help to keep images clear when shooting at higher magnifications. The zoom can be used while recording HD video, as well.

Shooting Features

The H200 has a "Sweep Panorama" mode that essentially allows the user to make simulated panorama images by holding the shutter button and sweeping the camera in one direction. The camera then takes rapid shots and stitches them together to approximate a panoramic shot. It also has a more advanced and powerful flash than on Sony's more compact models that come at this price point. The "Intelligent Auto" mode adjusts settings automatically and limits the need to change any settings.
