The Sony Alpha DSLR-A850 is a flagship full-frame digital SLR released in September 2011 alongside the midrange A550 and A500 DSLRs. Essentially a slightly less expensive and less featured counterpart to the premium-grade A900, the DSLR-A850 camera holds onto the same 24.6MP (effective), 35mm full-frame Exmor CMOS image sensor. However, it can only shoot at 3fps (versus 5fps), and the viewfinder only offers a 98% field coverage (versus 100%). Plus the frame has been downgraded from magnesium-alloy, and the remote has been tossed out. Other than those differences the A850 includes a 3" LCD display and a fast 9-point AF system with 10-point system. It’s compatible with all Sony Alpha lenses.
