Edit

The A330 is an entry-level DSLR camera from Sony. It is identical to the A380, but with a resolution of 10.2 rather than 14.2 megapixels. Although a step up from the A230, the A330 similarly targets users upgrading from prosumer compacts with features designed to ease the transition to a DSLR, including intuitive, graphical explanations of settings like shutter speed and aperture, as well as a comprehensive on-screen help guide. Unlike the A230, however, the A330 includes a live view mode for composing shots on the variable-angle LCD screen, although this mode, which includes autofocus response, reduces the frame rate for continuous shooting from 2.5 to 2 fps. Also in Live View, a 'Smart Teleconverter' feature aims to provide an alternative to zooming with 1.4x and 2x magnification.
