Edit

The A230 is an entry-level DSLR camera from Sony, designed as an upgrade for users of prosumer compacts. It is smaller and lighter than the model it replaces, the A200, and is part of a new line of Sony DSLRs built without the help of Konica-Minolta. The 10.2-megapixel A230 lags behind some competitors with its 2.5fps frame rate, but is one of few options in its class with built-in image stabilization. The UI is designed to simplify many DSLR functions for first-time users, with graphical explanations of settings like shutter speed and aperture. Also to aid the transition from compact to DSLR, the camera features a dual SD/Memorystick slot.
