Edit

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is an Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) smartphone released in early 2011. Unlike previous Ericsson Android phones, the OS on the Xperia Arc hasn’t been “heavily hacked” by proprietary Sony applications that slow down the user interface. For instance, Timescape and Mediascape (two former Ericsson hacks from the X10) were made into widgets to be less intrusive—thereby meaning a faster and easier-to-use UI. Featured is a 4.2” display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU (2nd gen), and a 8.1MP Exmor R camera sensor that has been described as functioning much better in low-light conditions versus standard smartphone cameras. One very notable feature on the Xperia Arc is Bravia Link functionality, wherein when connected to an HDTV via HDMI, the phone can be operated by the television’s remote control.

Mostly just an Xperia X10 with a HDMI port, recent version of Android, and 'Bravia engine' added (Whatever that really is!).
Lets hope that SE actually learn something from the Xperia X10 experience and keep this phone updated with 'current' editions of Android - Should be easier for them to do, since they appear to have reduced the amount of bloat-ware they have pre-loaded this phone with !!!
