The Snapper L1226E is a mid-cost large frame dual stage snowblower. Snapper promotes this series of snowblowers as being able to take care of the biggest drifts. This snowblower runs on a 4-cycle OVH Snow Series Briggs and Stratton engine, with six forward speeds and two reverse. This snowblower can throw snow up to forty feet. The L1226E's Free Hand Control feature enables the operator to continue operating the snowblower with one hand while other hand can rotate the chute, adjust the chute deflector or change speeds. This snowblower differs from the higher cost L1528E model in that it has a smaller clearing width (26 inches as opposed to 28 inches), less gross torque (11.50 pounds/foot as opposed to 14.50 pounds/foot), a smaller fuel tank capacity (0.75 gallons as opposed to one gallon), and lacks the Easy Turn wheel lock release. The Snapper L1226E comes with a two year limited warranty.
