The SMC Barricade SMCWBR14S-N3 is an entry-level 802.11n network router. This product features 300Mbps wireless connectivity over two antennas and four 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports. This router is comparable to SMC’s SMCWBR14S-N4, a step down with only 150Mbps of wireless n connectivity and a single antenna. Other features found on this router include a NAT firewall, web-based configuration and support for the latest WPA and WPA2 wireless encryption standards. For novice users, SMC has integrated WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) to setup a secured wireless network with the touch of a button. Advanced features such as dynamic DNS and virtual server technologies are also included, but QoS and multiple pass-through VPN technologies are not.
