The Singer 2250 Tradition is a basic low-cost portable sewing machine. The unit has a smaller form factor to make it easier to transport for on-the-spot sewing, but still uses a heavy duty metal frame to avoid skips in the stitching. While similar to the Singer 2259 Tradition, only 10 stitch patterns are used focused mostly on creating strong seams. Otherwise they are mostly the same, including an automatic 4-step buttonhole is built in for securely fastened buttons. The stitch length can also be adjusted depending on the application, and the free arm allows for cuffs and sleeves to be sewn properly without stretching the fabric. This unit uses a standard class 15 bobbin, and includes a number of accessories. An all-purpose foot, zipper foot, buttonhole foot and button sewing foot are all included, and a darning plate is also available.
