Can shoot 3 shot HDR at up to +-3 f-stop. This is equaled or exceeded only by multi-thousand dollar DSLRs.

The Sigma Photo Pro software though flakey is wonderful for getting the most out of the great pictures the Sigma cameras take.

The Foveon sensor is quivalent to a bayer sensor digital camera in the 8-10 mega-pixel class. Bayer sensors are used in all other digital cameras, P&s and DSLRs.

The user experience is somewhat unusual, but if you spend the time to learn it, you won't be sorry. People either love it or hate it. Make sure you read all about the Sigma cameras before buying one.
