Cons

No cushion on the head band, it hurts

Stock pads are firm and not comfortable. May even hurt because they allow the hard plastic to press your ears.

large size - not for use on the go

Edit

Shure's SRH440 is a professional-grade set of headsets intended for use in a studio or for home recording. The impedance, power handling and sensitivity are calibrated specifically for devices such as turntables or mixers. The headband is adjustable and the headphones collapse for convenience and portability, and the cable that connects to the phones is detachable and held in place by a bayonet clip. The drivers are 40mm and use dynamic neodymium magnets. This set has mid-range pricing and is thus well within range of home consumers who want better sound quality (than, say, the more basic Shure SRH240 set).
